7 days Serengeti and Zanzibar safari is a trip which includes a wildlife viewing experience in Serengeti national park and a safari to Ngorongoro crater and also a safari to Zanzibar island.
During the safari, you will engage in game drives in Serengeti national park and the Ngorongoro crater. You will also have a tour around Arusha and also visit Zanzibar island during your safari and visit Stone town and also enjoy snorkeling and swimming as well as a traditional boat ride on the Indian ocean.
Serengeti national park and the Ngorongoro conservation area are known for the big 5 such as lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffalos as well as other various wildlife species. Serengeti national park is also known for the wildebeest migration. Your 7 days Serengeti and Zanzibar safari will start in Arusha and end in Zanzibar.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Serengeti national park
On the 1st day of your safari, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your safari. You will also have a short briefing as you prepare for your drive from Arusha to Serengeti national park which is home to numerous wildlife species like lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, kudu, leopards, cheetahs among others.
You will check in at your lodge in Serengeti national park and your dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 2; full day in Serengeti national park
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti national park. You will start with a morning game drive around the national park as you look out for wildlife species like elephants, wildebeests, cheetahs, antelopes, kudu, giraffes, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles among others. You will have lunch after your morning game drive.
After lunch you will engage in an afternoon game drive and enjoy searching for other wildlife species in the savannah plains of Serengeti national park and also enjoying the beautiful scenery as you drive around the national park. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after our gamed rive at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 3; drive to Ngorongoro crater
Your breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare to drive from Serengeti national park to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater during your game drive.
You will look out for wildlife species such as elephants, lions, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, hippos, antelopes, kudu, zebras, impalas, gazelles among others on the Ngorongoro crater floor. You will also look out for attractions like Lake Magadi in the crater where you will see flamingos and other bird species on the lake shores. You will return to your lodge after the experience for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.
Day 4; transfer to Arusha
After having breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Arusha where you will check in and have lunch at the hotel. You will also engage in a tour around Arusha and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 5; flight to Zanzibar
You will be driven by your guide for your flight from Arusha to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, your guide will pick you up from the airport and drive you to your hotel where you will have lunch.
You will also have an experience of exploring Stone town and enjoy a tour around the historical town. You will also explore the alleys in Stone town and also visit Darajani market during your safari. Your dinner and overnight will be at Zanzibar palace hotel.
Day 6; Zanzibar tour
You will have breakfast at your hotel in Zanzibar as you prepare for an experience of exploring Zanzibar. You will enjoy an experience of a boat ride on a traditional dhow on the Indian ocean. You will enjoy seeing dolphins during your boat ride. You will also enjoy swimming and snorkeling during your tour.
You will also have lunch during your experience on the island and relax. You will also enjoy the sunset on your way back to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Zanzibar palace hotel.
Day 7; departure
After having breakfast at your hotel in Zanzibar, you will be driven from your hotel to the airport for your flight which will bring your safari to an end.
