5 days Serengeti and Zanzibar safari takes place in Serengeti national park in the northern part of Tanzania and is combined with a tour to Zanzibar island which is found on the Indian ocean.
You will spend the 5 days Serengeti and Zanzibar safari which starts in Arusha and your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park which is the oldest national park found in the northern part of Tanzania. Many wildlife species such as the big 5 which includes elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos, leopards are among the wildlife species which can be seen during a safari in the national park.
Serengeti national park is also known for the annual wildebeest migration which involves movement of over 1.5 million herds of wildebeest in the vast savannah plains of the national park. This national park can be visited at any time of the year and we recommend the dry season for wildlife viewing experiences.
After engaging in a safari in Serengeti national park during your 5 days Serengeti and Zanzibar safari, you will fly to Zanzibar where you will enjoy visiting Stone town and also a boat ride on the traditional dhows, a visit to Menai bay and also engage in swimming and snorkeling.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up in Arusha and drive to Serengeti national park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your safari and also brief you shortly about your safari. After pick up, your guide will also brief you about your safari before driving you to Serengeti national park.
After checking in at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will prepare for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 2; full day in Serengeti national park
On the 2nd day of your safari, after having breakfast you will continue to explore the central part of Serengeti national park also known as Seronera area where numerous wildlife species live such as elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, antelopes, wildebeests, elands, impalas and many others. After your morning game drive in the national park you will have lunch.
After lunch, you will engage in another game drive in Serengeti national park as you look out for more wildlife species in the vast savannah plains and woodlands in the national park. You will return to your lodge after the game drives for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 3; flight to Zanzibar and Stone town tour
After having breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, your guide will drive you to Seronera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. You will be picked up on arrival at the airport in Zanzibar and continue to your hotel for check in and to have lunch.
You will also engage in a tour around Stone town later in the evening as you enjoy moving around the ancient town on Zanzibar island and also learn more about the history of the island. After your tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Zanzibar palace hotel.
Day 4; Zanzibar tour
You will have breakfast at your hotel in Stone town as you prepare for an experience of sailing on the Indian Ocean using traditional dhows. You will also visit Menai bay conservation area, enjoy watching dolphins, snorkeling and swimming. You will also have you lunch during your tour of the island. After this experience, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Zanzibar palace hotel.
Day 5; departure
After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to the airport which will bring your safari to an end.
