14 days Tanzania and Zanzibar safari : 14 days Tanzania and Zanzibar safari is a tour around different destinations of Tanzania which will start in Arusha and end in Zanzibar.
You will visit different destinations around the northern part of Tanzania such as Lake Manyara national park, Serengeti national park, Tarangire national park and the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will also have a tour to Zanzibar where you will explore the island and visit different places on the island.
During the safari, you will also engage in morning and afternoon game drives, a hot air balloon safari, a masaai cultural tour, visit Zanzibar island and go for a stone town tour and also visit Nungwi. Your safari will end in Zanzibar.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 2: drive to Lake Manyara National Park
You will have breakfast at your hotel in Arusha ahead of your drive to Lake Manyara national park. You will engage in a game drive around Lake Manyara national park which is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos and is also home to wildlife species such as baboons, giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views. After your game drive, you will return to your lodge where you will have dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.
Day 3: drive to Serengeti national park
After breakfast drive to Serengeti national park for game drive around the vast savannah plains of the national park. Serengeti national park is home to numerous wildlife species such as the big 5 which includes elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalos and this will probably be the highlight of your entire safari.
Other wildlife species in the Serengeti include prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, impalas, giraffes, hippos, warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, kudu, dik dik and lots of birds. You will continue to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 4: full day in Serengeti national park
You will engage a morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park on the 4th day of your safari. You will look out for the big five such as lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo and depending which time of the year you visit this park, you can also witness the Great wildebeest migration. After your morning game drive, you will have your lunch and prepare for another game drive in the vast savannah plains of Serengeti national park.
In the late afternoon you will search for more wildlife species as you enjoy your afternoon game drive and continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 5; hot air balloon and afternoon game drive in Serengeti Plains
You will wake up early at your lodge ahead of a hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti plains You will enjoy an aerial view of the vast savannah plains during your hot air balloon ride while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery such as the rivers in the national park.
After returning from you hot air balloon ride, you will enjoy an English breakfast and champagne before meeting your guide to continue with your safari.
You will also engage in an afternoon game drive around Serengeti national park and explore the central plains or Seronera as you search for wildlife species like elephants, l ions, buffalos, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, impalas, kudu, dik dik among others. You will return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 6: drive to Ngorongoro crater
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park and prepare to drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater.
During your game drive in the Ngorongoro crater, you will search for wildlife species such as zebras, buffalos, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, hippos, cheetahs, and black rhino among others. The Ngorongoro crater is also among Africa’s 7 natural wonders. After your game drive, you will return to your lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night at Eileen’s tree inn.
Day 7: drive to Tarangire national park
After early breakfast you will drive to Tarangire national park where you will engage in a game drive. This park has the largest concentration of elephants which can be spotted during a safari around the Tarangire river. Other wildlife species in the national park include giraffes, monkeys, impalas, buffalos, lions, leopards and many birds. Your guide will drive you to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.
Day 8; full day in Tarangire national park
You will wake up early and prepare to engage in a morning game drive around Tarangire national park where you will search for wildlife species like elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards, giraffes among other wildlife species. You will also have lunch and later engage in another game drive in the national park as you enjoy the beautiful scenery and search for wildlife. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge after the full day game viewing experience and your dinner and overnight will be at Tarangire Roika lodge.
Day 9; drive to Arusha and Maasai experience
After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Arusha where you will engage in a Maasai cultural experience and interact with the Maasai as you get to know more about their culture and way of life.
You will also enjoy a traditional lunch and a walk around the Maasai village. After your cultural experience, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 10; flight to Zanzibar
In the morning after your breakfast and checking out of your hotel, you will be driven to the airport for a flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar island you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Zanzibar palace hotel.
Day 11: Zanzibar Stone town
After breakfast at your hotel, you will spend a full day exploring the historical Stone Town. You will enjoy a tour around the narrow streets and alleyways in Stone town and also discover the architectural beauty of the town and other places like restaurants, churches, markets and gardens.
You will also visit interesting places around Stone town like Darajani market place where different items are sold on stalls. You will also get a feel of the different cultures like Arab, Persian, Indian and European which influenced Stone Town making it a unique destination. After your Stone town tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Zanzibar palace hotel.
Day 12 and 13: Zanzibar Nungwi
You will enjoy the next 2 days you can relax at the beautiful Nungwi Beach. This is one of the best beaches on the island. It has a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful white sand beaches and turquoise water that gently rolls onto the beach. You can spend the entire day at the beach, since the beaches in this northern part of the island. You will spend the night at Flame tree cottages.
Day 14: Departure
On the last day of your 14 days Tanzania and Zanzibar safari, After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, you will be driven to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight.
