Day 1 transfer from Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable national park

The first day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast, you will meet your safari drive who will brief you about the safari, check out of your hotel and then embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Bwindi impenetrable national park is in a distance of 450 kilometers from Kampala and on your way you will have en-route lunch in mbarara and then continue with the remaining journey.  You are to reach the park in the evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and then stay overnight.

Day 2 gorilla trekking experience 

The second day of the safari is an exciting and adventurous day giving you a visit to our close relatives the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, this day starts with an early morning breakfast then drive to the park’s headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. At the headquarters you will be grouped into eight people and proceed to the park’s forests to look for mountain gorillas, the expedition takes approximately 2-8 hours depending on the movement of mountain gorillas and after finding them you will be allowed to only spend one hour with the gorillas. After an hour you will drive back to your lodge, rest, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3 transfer from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Queen Elizabeth national park

On the third day of the safari is a transfer day from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Queen Elizabeth national park using ishasha sector a famous habitant for tree climbing lions. On this day you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to queen Elizabeth national park through ishasha sector. The drive is for about 5 hours and you are to reach in queen Elizabeth national park in a time for lunch at your lodge, after lunch your will go for an afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel. On the activity you will see many animals such as herds of elephants, buffaloes, hippopotamus and many birds which crowd the banks of the channel. After the cruise you will drive to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4 transfer from Queen Elizabeth national park to kibale national park

Fourth day of your safari is a day of game drive and transfer from Queen Elizabeth national park to kibale national park, on this day you wake up as early as 6:30 am for morning break breakfast, check out of your lodge and the drive to the north section of the park such as kasenyi plains. On the game drive you will see many species of animals such as waterbucks, giant forest hogs, jackals, hyenas, warthogs, bushbucks and many more, after game drive you will exit the park and head for kibale national park. On your way you will have en-route lunch and you are to arrival in kibale national park in the evening check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5 chimpanzee tracking in kibale forest

On the fifth day of the safari you will have an amazing forest and primate retreat in the forests of kibale, on this day you will wake up early morning breakfast and drive to the park’s headquarters for briefing about the activity and starting the activity. Chimpanzee tracking in the forests of kibale is an activity of 3-4 hours taking you on a walk in the forest using well maintained trails, as you walk in the forest you encounter many primates such as chimpanzees, black and white colobus, red colobus, velvet monkeys, baboons and red tailed monkeys. After the activity you will drive to your lodge for lunch and rest as you wait for an afternoon activity, in the afternoon you will go for a swamp walk in bigodi swamp. Bigodi swamp is a home for birds and primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and many more which you will encounter will on the walk, after the walk you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6 transfer from kibale national park back to Kampala

On the last of the safari you will wake up for morning breakfast, since it is the last day of the safari you would not wake up as early as the last days. You will check out of your lodge and head back to Kampala, on your way you will enjoy views of tea plantations in fort portal. Upon arriving in Kampala you will have lunch then have your drop off either at your lodge or at the airport marking the end of your safari.
