Day 1: Arrival
Our staff will pick you up as your plane touches down at Entebbe International Airport and welcome you on your 10 Days Uganda Gorillas Safari into Uganda. He will give brief exciting introduction of Uganda Gorillas as he transfers you on road to your hotel. You may take a tour of the surrounding areas and get acquainted with the environment that in a big way puts you in the shape of what to expect on your Uganda safari. Meal plan: BB.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo
Our guide will pick you up after breakfast, and your 10 Days Uganda Gorillas Safari starts with a 230 km road transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, southwest of Kampala city. You will arrive and check in at your hotel in time for lunch.
Later, you will go for an exciting boat cruise on Lake Mburo and enjoy the stunning sights of huge mammals cooling off in the burning heat of the day on the shores of the lake. An exciting evening game viewing drive sums up the activities of the day before returning to your hotel to relax and get consumed in the excitement of touring Uganda. Meal Plan: FB
Day 3: Game Drive, Transfer to Bwindi
Lake Mburo safari is many travelers’ dream destination because of high population densities of mammals and birds of different species. Today you have an opportunity to scan the savannas and bushlands to find out what lies underneath them.
You will take an early morning 3 hour game viewing drive and return to hotel for late breakfast and check out. The safari driver will transfer you to your hotel close to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park near the trail-head of the gorilla family you will trek. Sleep to the quietness and stillness of the night and get rare body and soul feelings of your safari to Uganda. Meal Plan: FB
Day 4: Gorilla trekking
Wake up at first light, make the very last preparations, take a hot cup of coffee, and with lunch boxes head to the tourism rangers’ office to clear gorilla trekking formalities before 8.00 am. Tourism rangers will shortly lead you into the thick jungles, giving exciting details of the environment.
They will follow all leads and spot the gorilla feeding areas and avail you a one-hour opportunity to observe, take photos, and interact with gorillas as they explain in detail the gorilla habits. You will descend to your hotel for lunch, relaxation, and later take an exciting community guided walk to interact with indigenous people. Meal Plan: FB
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Relax and refresh your body and soul with an extended morning sleep. You will take breakfast and later your 10 Days Uganda Gorillas Safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park and start off with an exciting game drive in the plains of Ishasha wilderness and track tree climbing lions. You will have a picnic lunch at a scenic place close to large herds of buffalo and later proceed to Mweya Peninsula and check into your hotel early evening. Meal Plan: FB
Day 6: Game drive, Boat cruise
A guide will pick you up early morning and take you on a 4 hour game viewing drive; possibly the best for many travelers on safari into Uganda. Notable attractions: beautiful scenery, herds of elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, antelopes, prides of lions, leopards, packs of hyenas and lots of beautiful birds. You will go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward and view large hippos basking in the sun and other aquatic wildlife species. Meal Plan: FB
Day 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park
A guide will transfer you to a hotel close to Kibale National Park and arrive in time for lunch. You will relax in the afternoon and may take an evening walk in the neighborhood and interact with indigenous people. Meal Plan: FB
Day 8: Chimpanzee tracking
A guide will lead you to Kanyanchu tourism offices for registration, interact with fellow chimpanzee trackers, and complete all tracking requirements. Shortly, you will be led into the forests to track chimpanzees while interacting with other wildlife species all through. You will do a guided community walk in the neighborhood after lunch and get real experiences of people living close to the chimpanzee habitat. Meal Plan: BB
Day 9: Transfer to Kampala
This day marks the last leg of your stay in the wilderness of your Uganda Gorillas tour. Relax and enjoy your morning sleep and shake off wilderness fatigue. The safari driver will transfer you after breakfast to Kampala, where you will have lunch en route.
You will arrive in the afternoon and check in at your hotel. You may take an evening tour of Kampala and taste city nightlife by visiting a cultural centre with a live band playing Ugandan cultural music that blends with the environment you experienced on your safari. Meal Plan: BB
Day 10: Departure
Relax in the morning and take breakfast in the lawns at sunset. Focus East Africa Tours guide will pick you up for a Kampala city tour as you shop for souvenir items to carry home for family and friends. He will lead you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your outbound flight, completing your Uganda tour.
