10 days Uganda cultural tour is a cultural experience that will involve interactions with many of the tribes in Uganda including the Batwa, the Baganda, the banyankole, the Ik tribe, the Dodoth, Jie and Karamojong.
The 10 days cultural tour will start and also end in Kampala.
Day 1; pick up and drive to Bwindi
You will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala by our driver guide who will welcome you and brief you shortly about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi which takes about 8 hours’ drive.
On the way you will have a stopover at the Equator to take photos, buy souvenirs and then proceed with another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch you will continue the journey which will be filled with spectacular views of the countryside, beautiful landscapes, Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands, plantations among others. Upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park you will check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2; visit Batwa tribe
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will set out for a Batwa cultural experience and you will visit the Bakiga house and learn how the houses were built in the ancient days by the Bakiga people, visit the medicine man and learn about the various herbs and what they are used to treat, visit the local granary, get a demonstration of the Batwa life and learn hunting skills and how the kings and locals used to live.

You will also see how the coffee is made from coffee beans to the final product the local way by the Bakiga people; you will also learn how to prepare the local food (kalo) and also learn how to make fire. Another experience will be learning how to make the local brew and also enjoy traditional dances with the Batwa as the chant songs and drum. After the cultural experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 3; drive to Kampala and stop at Igongo cultural center
On the 3rd day of your 10 days Uganda cultural tour , Your guide will pick you up from the lodge after your breakfast. You will start your journey to Kampala. You will have a stop at Igongo cultural center and you will have a tour of Igongo and get to learn about the Ankole culture. You will enjoy a tour of the Eriijukiro museum. You will have lunch and continue your journey to Kampala where you will check in at the hotel.

Day 4; Buganda cultural tour and visit Kabaka’s palace and Kasubi royal tombs
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start your Buganda cultural tour. You will visit the Kabaka’s palace in Mengo. The palace has four gates and each gate has a meaning. You will also visit the Kasubi tombs which are the burial grounds for the kings of Buganda kingdom. After visiting the tombs, you will also enjoy an experience of learning how to prepare the local Buganda dish called Luwombo which is prepared using banana leaves. The local women will teach you how to prepare the dish. After this tour, your guide will drive you back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5; drive to Karamoja region
After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, you will start your drive to Kidepo in the north eastern part of Uganda. The drive will take about 9 to 10 hours and you will have a stop for lunch in Gulu town. After lunch you will be driven to the lodge for check in.

Day 6; climb Mount Morogole and visit Ik tribe
You will have breakfast at the lodge and your guide will drive you to the starting point for the hike up Mount Morogole where you will interact with the Ik tribe. The Ik are the smallest tribe in Uganda. You will enjoy beautiful views around during your hike. You will also learn about the way of life of the Ik who are hunter gatherers.

After your tour with the Ik people, you will hike down and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7; visit Dodoth community and drive to Kotido to visit Jie community
On the 7th day of your 10 days Uganda cultural tour , You will have breakfast at the lodge and your guide will take you for a cultural tour where you will visit the Dodoth community. The Dodoth are also part of the Karamojong and they settled in Kaabong area.
After your experience with the Dodoth, you will be driven to Kotido which will take about 3 to 4 hours. You will have lunch in Kotido and also visit the Jie community. You will drive to the lodge for check in after visiting the Jie.

Day 8; visit traditional cattle market (if open) and drive to Moroto
After breakfast at the lodge, your guide will take you to the traditional cattle market (if it is open). The market only opens once a week on Wednesday and it is a place where the different people go to sell and buy cattle.
You will also drive to Moroto and have your lunch enroute. You will have an experience of spending a night in a kraal on this day.
Day 9; visit Karamojong village
You will also visit a Karamojong village after breakfast and you will experience the Karamojong culture. You will take part in traditional games and also get an experience of the way of life of the Karamojong and enjoy traditional dance performances, see local art and crafts, learn how to prepare staple foods among other activities. You will take part in this cultural tour for the whole day and later your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10; drive to Kampala
After having breakfast, you will start your drive back to Kampala with lunch enroute. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe which will bring the tour to an end.
