14 days Tarangire, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari

14 days Tarangire, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari is a tour which combines a wildlife safari in Tarangire national park, Ngorongoro conservation area and in Serengeti national park with a Maasai cultural experience in Arusha, visiting waterfalls and coffee tour and a hike on Mount Kilimanjaro and finally a holiday on Zanzibar island.

The safari will start in Arusha and end in Zanzibar after engaging in activities like safari blue experience, a city tour, spice tour and visit to Prison island and also some time spent relaxing along the white sand beaches of Zanzibar.

Day 1; pick up and drive to Arusha

Your guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your Tanzania safari. You will have a short briefing about the safari and drive to your hotel in Arusha where you will spend the night at Tulia boutique hotel and spa

Day 2; drive to Tarangire national park

You will have breakfast at your hotel as you prepare to drive to Tarangire national park which is also found in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.

You will check in at your lodge in Tarangire national park as you prepare for lunch and also an afternoon game drive. During your game drive in the national park, you will search for wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, waterbucks among others as well as the various bird species which this national park is known for. You will enjoy watching the sunset in the wilderness of the national park and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 3; drive to Ngorongoro crater

On the 3rd day of your 14 days Tarangire, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari, breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will also have a stop at Ol duvai gorge. After having your lunch, you will descend into the crater and you will visit Lake Magadi which is found in the center of the crater. You will also search for various wildlife species such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ngorongoro, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Karatu tented lodge.

Day 4; drive to Serengeti national park

After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching wildlife species such as the big 5 (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos) during your safari in the national park.

You will have lunch after checking in your lodge in the national park. You will also engage in an evening game to see wildlife species such as zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, antelopes among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Serenget heritage luxury tented camp

Day 5; full day in Serengeti national park

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park.

After your morning game drive, you will have lunch and later engage in another game drive and enjoy looking out for wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park like elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camp

Day 6; drive to Arusha

After having breakfast at your lodge, you will start your drive from Serengeti national park to Arusha which takes about 7 hours. You will have dinner and spend the night at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.

Day 7; Maasai cultural experience

On the 7th day of your 14 days Tarangire, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari, after having breakfast, your guide will drive you around Arusha and you will engage in a cultural tour with the Maasai people and get to know more of their culture and also enjoy a traditional lunch. After this experience, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa

Day 8; visit waterfalls and coffee tour

Your breakfast will be served at your hotel ahead of your experience at the waterfalls found about 3 hours from Arusha town. On this day you will also enjoy a coffee tour and visit the plantation learn how coffee is made from the plantation to cup.

You will also enjoy making your own coffee and after this coffee tour, your guide will drive you back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 9; Mount Kilimanjaro tour

You shall be met by your guide in Arusha and then proceed for a transfer to the foothills of Kilimanjaro Mountain, the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest mountain in Africa. You shall proceed to embark on a hike of the Marangu route, which will take you 6 hours to ascend and descend. After, you shall be driven to Moshi town from where you shall have dinner and an overnight stay at Tulia boutique hotel and spa

Day 10; flight from Arusha to Zanzibar

On the 10th day of your 14 days Tarangire, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari, after breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, your guide will drive you to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar island. You will be picked up from the airport in Zanzibar on arrival and driven to your hotel for check in. You will spend the rest of the day relaxing at the beach.

You will enjoy the best boat tour on the island is which is a truly amazing experience sailing in the beautiful traditional Dhows. You will enjoy a boat ride, enjoy delicious buffet and drinks, fresh tropical fruits and snacks, snorkeling and also visit Menai Bay. After the experience, you will be driven back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12; city tour, visit Prison island and spice tour

You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will start your day’s activities including a city tour around Zanzibar island.

You will also take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu island or Prison island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu island back to Stone town. On this day you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night.
