Day 1. Arusha to Selous
After morning cup of tea or coffee if your are already in Arusha or be met at the airport be warmly welcomed by Focus East Africa Tours driver guide brief you on the itinerary and start our long drive to Selous game reserve. Upon arrival that is late afternoon we check in our lodge for lunch and some refreshments as we breeze the cold fresh air of nature.
In the evening go for an evening explore of Selous Game reserve with a boat cruise through the Rufiji River to see most of the aquatic life like crocodiles and hippos and also other animals which come near the river back to drink water and eat fresh green grass, big cats on a hunt like lions, leopards and others. Dinner and overnight
Day 2. Full day Selous
Have your early morning breakfast drive inside Selous Game reserve for the morning game drive see as much as possible. The most spotted animals are Elephants, Zebras, Buffalos, Giraffe mention but a few. This is also good destination for birders as the park is gifted with a great variety of bird species with wonderful scenery and varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with long views of far-off mountains.
Enjoy your packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch the animals coming to drink, a place with a clear view all round, so that no predator can creep up unseen.
Day 3. Depart to Arusha
After morning cup of tea we depart the park check out of the lodge say bye bye to the management and we drive back to Arusha for our flight back home as we conclude our visit to Selous Game reserve
