8 Days Big 5 Kenya Safari takes you to so many wildlife destinations during your safari in Kenya and increases your chances of seeing all the big five African game animals.
Day 1; Nairobi – Amboseli
On this very first day of your 8 Days Big 5 Kenya Safari, you will be met and welcomed by our company representative in your your Nairobi hotel in the morning drive to Amboseli national park which is less than 5 Hrs drive and is famous for its scenery with a close view of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arrive with more game drive proceeding to your lodge for check in, time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Later Dinner and overnight.
Day 2; Amboseli – Nairobi
Early morning breakfast game en-route leave Amboseli for Nairobi, a less than 5 Hrs drive arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon drive to Karen blixen and Giraffe center to feed giraffe for an excursion. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3; Nairobi – Samburu
Early morning breakfast depart for Samburu National reserve, a 6 hrs drive through Mt Kenya. Having our stop over at Equator line, Nyanyuki town proceed with our drive to our lodge to have lunch. Afternoon game drive across the park which is a unique resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4; Samburu – Aberdare
Day 4 of our 8 Days Big 5 Kenya Safari starts with early morning game drive then you breaks for breakfast at your camp. After breakfast leave Samburu for Aberdare a 4 Hrs drive arriving with a short game en-route. Check in at Aberdare Hotel, have lunch and relax. Afternoon Game drive and return back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5; Aberdare – Lake Nakuru
Early morning breakfast game en-route leave Aberdare for Lake Nakuru National Park, a less than 5 Hrs drive and pass through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, arriving in time for lunch and check in your hotel. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara National Game Reserve, a 5 Hrs drive arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon games drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and many more game. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Early morning game drive will lead you to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas and return to camp for breakfast some rest and Lunch.
After lunch go for afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara plains which are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end of September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles mention but a few. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Early Morning breakfast at your camp or lodge check out of the camp and park and Drive to Nairobi a drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.
End of 8 Days Big 5 Kenya Safari.
