There are about 85 Jewish families in Kinshasa. Friday services are attended by many at the Rabbis at Boulevard on 30th June. Hebrew lessons are frequently taught, and holidays are often celebrated at the Hotel Intercontinental.

Congo has got variety of African handmade crafts, though they are expensive, they are very beautiful and unique. You can buy souvenirs from the art and crafts galleries and take them home for remembrance. The main tour activities in Congo are gorilla tracking and Nyiragongo mountain climbing. Congo offers both budget gorilla trekking and luxury gorilla trekking experiences.

Best Time to Visit Congo

Congo has an equatorial type of climate with temperatures of about 24°C during the day. During nighttime, the temperatures range from 16°C to 21°C. The seasons are divided into four, with annual rainfall of 1100 mm to 2000 mm. May to September is the longest dry season. It’s the ideal time for gorilla trekking and wildlife watching because the national parks are easily accessible and the gorilla trekking trails are relatively not very slippery, unlike in the wet season.

Congo Gorillas are easily seen on the mountain slopes. This is also the best time to visit the southern part of the country. December to February is one of the best times to visit Congo. This is the short dry Congo safari season and the best time to visit the northern parts of the country. The roads are very accessible during this period.

October to December is the longest wet season in Congo. Some tourist hotels / Congo safari lodges close down and some roads are impassable so tourists visiting during this time will be advised to travel with Four Wheel Drive vehicles. If visiting during this time, please visit the northern part of the country, entering the dry season.

On the other hand, you can undertake Congo safari experiences all year round, though the exact experience you will encounter will depend on the season you’re visiting the country. If you’re planning a cultural visit, then you can travel to Congo at any time of the year.

There are various tourist accommodation sectors where you can lodge while in Congo, the accommodation ranges from luxurious, mid-range, and budget. The place where to stay will always depend on the tourists’ budget. The main tourist attraction in Congo is the endangered mountain gorillas.

Come visit this enchanting animal in their natural habitat and also explore the wild animals in the Congo rainforest and have a thrilling life safari experience. Tourists visiting Congo are advised to come along with good hiking boots, rain jackets, insect repellents, and many other things you might need on your Congo safari.
