Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Our Focus East Africa Tours guide will meet you in Nairobi early in the morning and brief you about your upcoming safari. You will then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a short stop over at one of the elevated View Points to have a look at the Great East African Rift Valley. You will then proceed to the bottom of the valley where Lake Nakuru is located for a late morning game drive in which you will have an opportunity to see the reticulated Giraffes, Waterbucks and Rhino’. You will thereafter have a have a picnic style lunch at one of the popular picnic points at Lake Nakuru.
The afternoon game viewing drive will give you an opportunity to thousands of Flamingos feeding along the Lake Nakuru shores. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Bungoma
After an early breakfast you will transfer to Bungoma a town close to the malaba border with Uganda. Checkin to your lodge and have lunch. You can have an evening walk where you can visit local markets in Bungoma and see the way of life of the locals. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Bungoma
Day 3: Bungoma-Kampala
After breakfast, we will transfer to the Malaba border, then drive we will transfer to the capital city of Kampala, and spend some time strolling around the craft markets and getting to know the locals.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early in the morning our guide will transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable National park. You will have brief stopovers at the equator to take photos and later at Mbarara for lunch. After lunch continue to the park arriving in late afternoon, this park has many animal species but mostly famous for the mountain gorillas as well as colobus monkeys and chimpanzees. Upon your arrival, check in at the lodge and later relax at the lodge for the evening.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking
Your gorilla trek experiences begin at first light of the day as you take a hot cup of coffee while making final preparations to explore the mist covered jungles. The safari guide will escort you to tourism rangers’ office and help you complete all trekking formalities and shortly ranger guides will lead you into the thick jungles full to the brim with wildlife species. Be attentive as ranger guides explain each circumstance in detail before ushering you to the trekked gorilla family browsing on foliage to nourish their huge bodies. You will spend approximately an hour taking photos, interacting with and admiring their wild nature before descending to the base camp and onwards to your hotel. You will do a guided community walk after lunch and get samples of African homestead set up.
Day 6: Departure
After your early breakfast you will depart for Entebbe Via Kampala. You will have lunch in Mbarara and another stop will be at Mbambire drum makers point. Continue to Kampala arriving late afternoon. The guide will drop you off to the hotel or at the airport to catch your flight back home.
