Day 1: Arrival, Kigali City tour and Transfer to Musanze
Our Focus East Africa Tours representative guide/driver will meet you at Kigali International airport or from the hotel in Kigali. You will then proceed to Kigali city tour where you visit the prominent landmarks of the city including the Kigali Genocide memorial Centre. You will also visit a local market and craft shops in Kigali city after which you will have lunch at a restaurant in the city.
In the afternoon, you will transfer to volcanoes national park where you will go for a tour of the Musanze Caves. These caves were used many years ago as homes for some people in the community. One of the caves is 2 kilometers in length. Check-in to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
After your early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a routine briefing by the park warden about the do’s and don’ts you must adhere to while trekking and while with the Gorillas. You will thereafter be assigned a gorilla family to track.
You will then proceed to track the Gentle giants in the forest with the help of the park rangers who will guide you to the particular families last known position for you to begin your trek. Since the gorillas are always moving about the forest, the gorilla trekking will last between 1-5 hours.
Upon meeting the Gorilla’s, you will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour with the apes, in which you can also take photographs after which you will return to your lodge. There is an optional afternoon trip to the Ibylwacu cultural Centre or Dian fossey hike which can be given upon request with a complimentary fee. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge
Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your breakfast, you will return to the thick forests to track the golden monkeys. After your golden monkey trek, you will return to your lodge, pack and check-out then embark on your journey to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda. Lake Bunyonyi is not only Uganda’s deepest Lake, but it also stands out as one of the most beautiful lakes with several islands dotted in it. Upon arrival you will check-in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Early in the morning you will have a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi where you will visit several islands including the punishment islands, you will also visit the pygmy Batwa community before returning to your lodge for checkout and transfer to Lake Mburo national park with a brief stop for lunch in Mbarara. You will have an evening game drive at Lake Mburo national park where you will see several animals including zebras, Buffaloes, Antelopes, impala, eland, oribi, Defassa water buck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reed buck.
Day 5: Morning game drive and departure
Early in the morning you will have a morning game drive, and proceed for a boat cruise in which you will see some of Lake Mburo’s most exciting wildlife species. You will then transfer to Entebbe international Airport for your scheduled flight.
