22 days Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania safari takes place across different countries and during this tour, you will engage in a variety of activities including wildlife viewing, gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking, rafting along the Nile, cultural tours, big 5 experiences in the wild, chimpanzee trekking and enjoy exploring beautiful landscapes.
Day 1; pick up and drive to Jinja
Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for the safari. Depending on your time of arrival, you will be driven to the source of the Nile for a boat ride along the Nile. You will also visit the Mahatma Gandhi memorial as well as see different arts and craft work at the source of the Nile before returning to your lodge for your dinner and overnight at 2 friends’ hotel.
Day 2; rafting and drive to Kampala
Breakfast will be served at your hotel as you prepare for your white water rafting activity along the Nile. You will be driven to the briefing point along the shores of the Nile where you will start your rafting experience with a briefing and then you will be given the necessary safety equipment and then you will proceed to your rafts.
After you rafting experience, you will be driven to Kampala where you will check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight at Forest cottages.
Day 3; drive to Kibale national park
Your guide will welcome you after picking you up from your hotel in Kampala. You will also have a short briefing ahead of your drive to Kibale national park.
You will have lunch enroute and the journey will take about 6 hours and you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee guest house.
Day 4; chimpanzee trekking
On the 4th day of your 22 days Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania safari, after breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the chimpanzee trek in Kibale forest. You will see different tree species and other primate species such as black and white colobus monkeys among the trees and also enjoy seeing various bird species during your chimpanzee trekking Safari.
You will also engage in a nature walk at the Bigodi swamp as you enjoy your natural surroundings. Your dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee guest house.
Day 5; drive to Queen Elizabeth national park
You will have your breakfast and continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park which is a wildlife viewing destination located in the south western part of Uganda where tree climbing lions can be seen.
You will check in at your lodge in the national park as you prepare for lunch. You will later have a game drive in the savannah plains as you look for the different wildlife species such as antelopes, buffalos, elephants among others. You will return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Elephant hub lodge.
Day 6; drive to Bwindi national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park and then check out as your prepare for your transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. You will have dinner and overnight will be at Buhoma haven lodge.
Day 7; gorilla trekking
After having breakfast early in the morning at your lodge in Bwindi national park, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters where you will have a briefing about your gorilla trekking activity. You will proceed into the forest in search of the gorillas and you will spend about 2 to 8 hours looking for the gorillas. You will also see other bird species as well as primates in the forest during your gorilla trekking activity.
After gorilla trekking, you will return to the briefing point where you will meet your guide and be driven to your lodge. Dinner and overnight will be at Buhoma haven lodge.
Day 8; drive to Entebbe
On the 8th day of your 22 days Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and then check out of the lodge. You will continue your drive to Entebbe with a stopover in Mbarara town where you will have lunch.
After you have had lunch, you will continue your drive to Entebbe where your guide will drop you off at your hotel for dinner and overnight at Best western hotel Entebbe.
Day 9; flight to Masai Mara
After breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, you will be driven to Entebbe airport for your flight to Masai Mara. On arrival at the airport in Masai Mara, your guide will welcome you and drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at AA Mara lodge.
Day 10 and Day 11; full day in Masai Mara national reserve
You will have breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in Masai Mara national reserve to look out for different wildlife species like the big five which includes elephants, lions, buffalos, leopard and rhinos.
You will have another game drive in the afternoon to explore more of the wilderness and look out for other wildlife species grazing around the savannah plains. Dinner and overnight will be at AA Mara lodge.
Day 12; Drive to Nairobi
After having breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Nairobi where you will check in at your hotel. You will also enjoy a city tour around Nairobi and visit different places before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Le Maison Royale hotel
Day 13; flight to Rwanda and drive to Akagera national park
You will have breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi ahead of your flight to Kigali Rwanda. On arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by your guide. You will continue to Akagera national park where you will check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Akagera game lodge
Day 14; morning game drive and Lake Ihema boat cruise
You will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your morning game drive experience in Akagera national park. You will look out for various wildlife species as you explore the savannah such as elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, antelopes and many others.
During your tour, you will also engage in a boat ride along Lake Ihema and enjoy seeing hippos and different bird species as well as the beautiful views around. After your boat ride, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Akagera game lodge.
Day 15; drive to Volcanoes national park via Kigali
On the 15th day of your 22 days Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania safari, After breakfast at your lodge, you will start your transfer from Akagera national park to Volcanoes national park. You will have a stop in Kigali for lunch and then continue your drive to Volcanoes national park.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Le Bambou lodge.
Day 16; golden monkey trekking and Ibywacu village tour
Wake up to an early breakfast and off to the park headquarters for briefing. You will engage in the Golden monkey tracking; the activity lasts 3 to 4 hours. You will also look out for other primates such as red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys among others.
After lunch, you will engage in a cultural tour at Iby’wacu village where you will interact with the locals and also get to know about the Kinyarwanda culture. After this experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou lodge.
Day 17; flight to Tanzania
Your guide will drive you to Kigali after breakfast at your lodge. You will fly from Kigali to Kilimanjaro international airport in Tanzania. On arrival at the airport in Tanzania, your guide will meet you and drive you to your hotel for check in.
You will have your dinner and spend the night at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 18; transfer to Serengeti national park
On the 18th day of your 22 days Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania safari, your guide will drive you from Arusha and after a short briefing; you will start your drive from Arusha to Serengeti national park which is a destination known for the big five and for amazing wildlife viewing.
You will be driven you to your lodge in Serengeti national park where you will check in for your dinner and to spend the night in the comfort of your lodge at Mawe tented camp.
Day 19 and 20; full day in Serengeti national park
You will start your wildlife viewing experience in Serengeti national park with breakfast at your lodge and then your guide will drive you around the national park as you enjoy searching for different wildlife species as they roam around the savannah plains such as wildebeest, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, lions, hyenas, warthogs, hippos, elephants and many others.
You will have lunch and later engage in another game drive in Serengeti national park and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Mawe tented camp.
Day 21; drive to Tarangire national park
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to Tarangire national park which is known for its large herds of elephants. You will look out for wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hartebeest, wildebeest, elands, impalas and many bird species. You will also enjoy beautiful views of the baobab and acacia trees where the wildlife species take shelter. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Baobab tented lodge.
Day 22; departure
After having breakfast on the last day of your Tanzania safari, you will be driven to Arusha and your guide will drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Arusha which will bring the safari to an end.
