Detailed Itinerary of 13 Days Rwanda and Kenya Safari
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival in at KGL, you will be picked up by the hotel and transferred to your hotel of stay. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe and Canopy Walk
Drive Time: Approx. 5 hours
Breakfast will be served early and embark on the drive to Nyungwe forest national park with lunch en-route. You will also engage in a canopy walk and enjoy views of the rainforest from a swing bridge. After the canopy walk, you will return to your lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe National Park
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing before entering the forest, searching for the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest very early in the morning. The Chimpanzees are not easy to spot, as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimp tracking usually takes about 3 hours, or more. Return to the lodge for lunch, and spend the rest of the day relaxing. Dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Iby’wachu Cultural Tour
Drive Time: Approx. 4 hours
After breakfast, proceed to transfer to Volcanoes National Park with a lunch stop en-route. Once at the lodge, check in, relax as you look forward to your gorilla trek the next day. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
However, the guides will try to find them from where they were last seen the previous day! You will spend 1 hour with these gentle giants and later return to your lodge to refresh and relax. In the evening, you can do an Optional community tour around Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali, Fly to Nairobi (Own Booking)
After breakfast at the lodge, check out and proceed to transfer to Kigali International Airport which is about 4 hours away, arriving in time for your flight to Nairobi.
Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you shall be picked up by your Kenya safari guide and transferred to your hotel of stay. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel for Luxury, Sarova Stanley Hotel for Mid-range, Le Maisone Royale Hotel for Budget.

Day 7: Drive to Amboseli National Park, Walking Safari
Drive Time: Approx. 3 hours
Breakfast will be enjoyed leisurely at the hotel. Check out and with your packed lunch proceed to transfer to Amboseli National Park where you will have an en route game viewing experience to see wildlife species along the way such as herds of elephants which this national park is known for having and you will also enjoy views of Mt Kilimanjaro on a guided walking safari in the park.

Day 8. Game Drive in Amboseli National Park
Wake up to an early morning game drive in the park for a chance to see the different wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, zebras, gazelles, kudu, giraffes, elands as well as various bird species, as well as a sun rise in Amboseli. Return to the lodge for breakfast, and spend the rest of the day lounging at the lodge. At 4pm, head out for a game drive, for a chance to see more wild game. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 9: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, Game Drive
Drive Time: Approx. 4 hours
You will have breakfast at your lodge and then check out of the lodge as you continue your journey to Lake Nakuru national park across the rift valley escarpment as you enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. You will have an en route game drive during which you will see wildlife species such as giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, buffalos, antelopes, reedbucks, elands, impalas among others.
Lunch will be served at your lodge after check in and after lunch, you will have another game drive in Lake Nakuru national park and you will visit the flamingo filled Lake Nakuru which is a good birding spot to see flocks of flamingos along the lake shores as well as other bird species and wildlife species grazing in the nearby plains. Day 10: Transfer to Masai Mara Reserve, Game Drive

Day 12: Hot Air Balloon Safari, Game Drive
Today get to enjoy a hot air balloon safari in Masai Mara plains looking out for wild game and amazing scenic views, as well as wildebeest migrating herds!. Climax the experience with a bush breakfast. Thereafter meet your guide for yet another day of exploring the plains in search of wild game, chancing to witness the great wildebeest migration, especially the iconic Mara River crossing. Lunch is enjoyed over a picnic.
