Safari Animal Activities for children below 5 : Most cases we don’t advise parents to travel with their children who are under 5. Because we have a feeling all the safari activities in the wild are quite above their ages. However, we have been challenged by some parents who have found a way to engage the children while on safari and below is a list of activities we have compiled that your child under 5 can have on a safari.
Wild animal names
As you tout on safari, you can engage you child to grasp and recite wild animal names. This activity helps the children enjoy seeing the animals and memorizing them.
Safari Writing
Safari writing is also another activity that can help the children enjoy a safari. After a day of touring, you can engage the children in writing the places they saw, remember or even think they saw. This adds some fun to your wind down time and also for the children.
Safari treasure
Safari treasure is where you allow the children to pick special items from the different safari places and keep them for Future remembrance.
Safari Show
In this era of digital gadgets, you can let the children have taken pictures and videos of the safari destinations you are visiting and when you return to your home allow them put together a show together for you about the safari. This is usually good after you have concluded the safari and you have returned to your home place.
Safari Arts and Crafts
You can let the kids also make safari arts and crafts that reflect the safari they are having or imagine to be having. This is one thing that can build your family memories and something the kids can cherish for a lifetime.
Safari Games

You can also try some safari games like hide and seek and a few more that can help hype the children as they are on the safari. So that they are not bored with just the safari activities.
Safari Snack
You can also add some fun in the safari with packing snacks similar to the safari you hope to be having or you are actually having, for example you can pack fruits when you are going to visit the primates because that’s what the primates eat.
Safari signs
You can also engage the children to get or memorize the signs on the safari as they go. Sign posts of roads, parks and everything they meet, this keeps them engaged in the safari and actually help them to feel a part of the safari.
The activities they can do can me things like swimming, hot air ballon activities, short nature walks with you among other things to do on a Tanzania wildlife safari.
These are some of the things we have compiled for the children under 5, however they can be more if you ask around. You could also have some, you can share with us to add on this list.
We believe everyone who goes for a safari child or adult should have a chance to enjoy themselves on the safari.
