Air Kenya a domestic airline that operates within all the three East African Countries those are Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Air Kenya does daily flights domestically to many of the national parks in East Africa but within the country level. It’s a first time that Air Kenya is extending its services to service daily flights across two tourism destinations in two countries.
The airline is seeking to combine the best Kenyan National Reserve Masai mara National Reserve with Ugandan Gorilla trekking park Bwindi National park hence cutting distance and time of the combined activities. Combination of Masai Mara and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest give tourists an extra life time experience of combining the African Big 5 together with trekking of the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi. The duration will also be cut from normal minimum 6 days safari to only 4 days or even less.
Air Kenya starting from June 1st 2019 will start its services between Kisumu airports in Maasai Mara to Entebbe international airport where the guest will be connected to their sister company Aerolink in the afternoon flights to Bwindi Impenetrable National park and to other national parks. One way direct Maasai Mara national reserve to Entebbe and vice versa daily to ease the transfer of guests
The Nairobi based airline confirmed and broke this news at ATCNews.org, the operators will be able to book direct online for their clients and pick them according to their itinerary. The same connections have been developed for Serengeti national park via Mwanza to Kigali Rwanda where Gorilla trekking is done though managed by Coastal Aviation.
