Park entrance fee for Amboseli national park and Lake Nakuru national park

Nonresidents visiting Amboseli national park and Lake Nakuru national park during the low season are charged park entrance fee of 40 USD for adults and 70 USD in the high season while children are charged entrance fee of 20 USD in both seasons.

During safaris in Amboseli national park and Lake Nakuru national park east African citizens and Kenyan residents are charged park entrance fee of 800 Kenya shillings in the high season and 600 Kenya shillings in the low season. Children visiting Amboseli and Lake Nakuru national park for safaris are charged park entrance fee of 215 Kenya shillings, Kenya national park fees 2023 – 2024 .

Amboseli national park is located in the southern part of Kenya and is home to numerous wildlife species including many elephants which can be seen during a safari. The national park is about 5 hour’s drive from Nairobi.

Safaris can also be done in Lake Nakuru national park which is found in the south western part of Kenya. Rhinos are among the wildlife species which can be seen in this national park which is also home to wildlife species like flamingos.

East African citizens or Kenyan residents visiting Nairobi national park are charged park entrance fee of 400 Kenya shillings in the low season and 500 Kenya shillings in the high season for adults while children are charged 215 Kenya shillings.

Nairobi national park is the only urban national park in Kenya and is located south of Nairobi.

The famous Tsavo national park is another place to visit during a trip to Kenya. the park consists of Tsavo west national park and Tsavo east national park which are among the wilderness parks of Kenya.

East African citizens or Kenya residents visiting Tsavo west national park and Tsavo east national park are charged park entrance fee of 500 Kenya shillings for adults in the high season and 300 Kenya shillings in the low season while children pay park entrance fee of 215 Kenya shillings, Kenya national park fees 2023 – 2024.

Nonresidents visiting Tsavo west and Tsavo east national park are charged park entrance fee of 60 USD in the high season and 35 USD in the low season for adults while children are charged park entrance fee of 20 USD.

The park entrance fees for Tsavo west and Tsavo east national park are similar to the park entrance fee charged during tours to Meru national park, Kora national park and also Aberdare national park.

During safaris in Kenya, tours can also be done in Hells gate national park, Mt Longonot, Mt Elgon and Ol donyo Sabuk. The park entrance fee for the national parks above is 30 USD for nonresident adults visiting the park in the high season and in the low season the nonresident adults are charged 20 USD. Nonresident children visiting the parks are charged entrance fee of 20 USD.

Hells gate national park

East African citizens and Kenya residents visiting Hells gate national park, Mt Longonot, Mt Elgon and Ol donyo Sabuk are charged park entrance fee of 300 Kenya shillings in the high season and 250 Kenya shillings in the low season while children are charged entrance fee of 215 Kenya shillings.

This entrance fee is also paid by east African citizens and Kenya residents visiting Marsabit, Mwea, Ruma, Saiwa swamp, Sibiloi, Central island, Kakamega, Shimba hills, Ndere island, Chyulu hills, South Turkana and South island national park.

Entrance fee for visiting the different sanctuaries in Kenya such as the Nairobi orphanage, Nairobi safari walk, Kisumu Impala and Elementaita is 250 Kenya shillings for Kenya residents/ East African citizens adults visiting in the high season and 200 Kenya shillings is paid by adult East African citizens/ Kenya residents during the low season while children are charged 125 Kenya shillings, Kenya national park fees 2023 – 2024.

25 USD and 20 USD is paid by adult nonresidents visiting the sanctuaries in Kenya in the high season and low season respectively while children are charged entrance fee of 15 USD.

During tours to the Marine parks in Kenya, nonresident adults are charged entrance fee of 15 USD in the high season and 10 USD in the low season while children are charged entrance fee of 10 USD to visit Kisite Mpunguti, Mombasa marine park, Watamu, Malindi and Kiunga. East African citizens/ Kenya residents visiting the marine parks in Kenya are charged entrance fee of 200 Kenya shillings in the high season and 150 Kenya shillings in the low season for adults and children are charged a fee of 125 Kenya shillings.

The park entrance fee is valid for single entry for 24 hours to visit the national park, reserves or sanctuary. Children are considered travellers from 3 years and below 18 years.

Safaris in Kenya can be done at any time of the year and the low season is from March to June while the high season is from July to February.
