This day is initially celebrated in order to raise awareness of the wild fauna and flora. This day was officially announced as the day of adoption of convention on the international trade in endangered species of the wild flora and fauna, this day has become one of the most important day globally dedicated to the wildlife. We celebrate the diversity of life on this planet, from the enormous blue whales all the way to the butterfly to thrill while travelling with Focus East Africa Tours .
The animals and plants have the major role in contribution on the ecological system. They contribute to the social economic, and scientific education and research as well as the sustainable development.
There are more than 8,000 different species of the fauna and flora that are currently endanger mostly by the different human activities while close to 3,000 are known to be verge of getting extinct or vulnerable. Beside there are some other research that says that about 1 million of both flora and fauna that have gone extinct. This day holds a lot of significant for the UN because saving the species is highly align with the worlds sustainable goals that are to be attained by 2025. The sustainable development goals of 1 (which is to zero poverty), 2 (which is to ensure zero hunger), 12 (to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns), 13(climatic action), 14 (life below water) and that of 15 (which is about life on land) as they highly attached to the process of eradicating poverty, while using the sustainable resources and conserving of the land.
On every 3rd march we are celebrating nature for all the wonderful things that it has been serving to us, we celebrate nature by learning about it and taking the important measures of protecting it and serving it with all we have got to keep it because we need it.

Significance of the world wild life day.
This day is specifically very important as it rises awareness about the importance of the wildlife of flora and fauna in general. The wildlife plays the major role in diversity and ecosystem in our world hence it’s important for each one to know the key roles that the flora and fauna plays in our environment and for the development in our planet earth. The key role of this day is first to raise awareness to people.
Saving the flora and fauna is saving the planet earth, the destruction of nature has a lot of impact on the climatic changes. Everyone is at risk because today the biodiversity is facing a lot danger that affect both the flora and fauna and not just the human beings. The increase in heatwaves, the intensified storms, droughts and floods also affects the animals and plant species greatly as much as much as they affect the human being. The increase in temperature does affect the animals and suffocates them. The increase in drought leaves many animals without food, and lead to their death plus the plants that get dry due to lack of rain. This day is the reminder to each and every one to keep and preserve the environment so that to avoid the climatic changes.
This day is to remind the world the on the key roles that the wildlife plays on earth, the 40% of the modern medicine is from the rainforest plants. There is the research that shows that about 5% of the Amazon plants species have the potential to serve as the medicine to most of the disease that human beings face. The Tanzania wildlife is more attached to our lives that we can imagine.
The wildlife day is also there for us to appreciate nature and see what the nature has been doing to the world, from the part of ecosystem all the way the use of this nature in our daily life. The richness of the species and their interaction among all the living organisms is what makes the world inhabitable for each one of us.
Also this day serves as the reminder to save and conserve the environment. The little actions that we do every day in our daily life can serve the planet. It’s not late yet to save the species that are remaining. Each ad everyone has the duty to save the nature and this important creatures by doing some little such as planting trees projects which plays the significant role in the climatic condition. What are actions are you going to take, you as the group and as an individual towards protecting the wildlife and this is the challenge to everyone as we celebrate this big day.

As its Sayed most of the species are endanger by different human activities, then it’s probably our fault for the species to disappear, the human control over animals, over hunting on the game reserve which is harmful for the animals, over fishing on different water sources and over activities such as deforestation for timber and land clearing for the agriculture activities. Hence if we are able to destroy it then we have the chance to fix it by raining awareness and taking actions towards preserving the remaining wildlife.
Every year there are different themes that are in place in order to celebrate the wildlife that changes annually. The theme for the year 2022 is Recovering key species for the ecosystem restoration. The key role of this year’s theme is to raise awareness on the endangered species that need to be saved before they disappear. With the view of generating and implementing different plans and workable solution to serve this species. These species that are endanger includes the tigers, taquito, Rhinos gorillas, turtles, saola, Amur leopards, the blue whales, the African wild dogs, Giant pandas, snow leopards, polar bears, chimpanzees and many more to mention a few. Both the marine species and the land species are highly affected. There are also different plant species that are endangered example the prickly Cica, Phalaenopsis Micholitzii, Atayal’s Preauxiana, acacia anegadensis and many others.
