Attractions in Rwanda are not all that many as compared to other East African Countries but very unique from others on its own. As the country nick name suggests “the land of 1000 hills” Rwanda history was for long known as the most insecure country due to the several insurgencies that happened in early 1990’s but now it’s currently the most secure country in East Africa.

Kigali is the cleanest city voted as the best city in Africa, most organized with a lot of tourist attraction in Rwanda. The attractions in Rwanda starts from the vibrant welcoming Kigali city life, the rare endangered mountain Gorillas, Rwanda hosts over half of the remaining mountain Gorillas in the world at Volcanoes national park with the other half distributed in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park and Virunga National park in Uganda and Congo respectively.

Rwanda has many attractions tourists can enjoy while in Rwanda for your trip to the land of a thousand hills;

Volcanoes National Park

Found in the Northwest, Volcanoes national park is a home of the half remaining endangered mountain Gorillas, the rare Golden monkey, series of the volcanic mountains, bird species and many more attractions inside the park.

Nyungwe National Park

Located in the most remote part of Rwanda, it’s one of the great attractions in Rwanda, untouched Nyungwe rain forest in habits large number of primates like Chimpanzees, Columbus monkey and many more not forgetting the bird species.

Twin Lakes

Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo referred as twin lakes are found just outside Musanze

Akagera National Park

Home to Africa’s Big Five (the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), Akagera National Park’s sweeping views, plentiful wildlife, and easy access render this spot one of the best parks in the area.
