Mount Huye is situated in the southern part of Rwanda near Butare town, the mountain derives it’s name from the surrounding district Huye. Mount Huye is renowned for its mineral water that’s supplied all over Rwanda branded Huye and maraba trade Fair.
The first hike to mountain Huye was welcomed by large numbers. Including the Rwandan minister of sports, the mountain is connected to Nyungwe forest to the west. There is a maraba coffee plantation that receives water at it’s washing station through a pipeline
The UNESCO members commission in Rwanda formed up a sports club know as ibisimuzi alongside the national museum and member of Huye. The mountain is on the edges of the Western branch of the great African rift valley resulting to it’s striking views.
