Ougoue Lekiti national park is found in the Democratic republic of Congo covering an area of 6000 kilometers squared in the western part of the country, it’s only park that had lion population in Congo the they became extinct due heavy poaching.The park is covered in a panoramic landscape.
Ougoue Lekiti national park northern sector contains the ancient sand dune system with vast Savannah woodlands patched with dense rainforests, river valleys and small lakes. The park was established on the 18th of September 2006.
Ougoue Lekiti national park is also supported by the Chalia forest and Ougoue forest river basin,
