Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali – City Cultural Immersion
Start your safari with a pickup from your hotel in Kigali or at Airport by our safari driver-guide. Depart to Kigali city tour to explore Kigali’s bustling market, visit local art galleries, genocide site, and immerse yourself in the city’s historical background and culture. Enjoy a picnic lunch. Connect to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Drive to Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before departing to Volcanoes National Park. The journey stuns with gainful views of Rwanda’s lush landscapes, rolling hills and terraced farms. Arriving early afternoon and having lunch at the lodge. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure as you wait for your next day activity. Dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast served at the lodge, embark for park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules, regulation and expectations. After the briefing, you will be accompanied by the park ranger through the forest trail in search of a gorilla family. Once the gorilla family is allocated, you will be allowed an hour to watch these unique gorillas in their natural habitat. Afterward, drive back to the lodge for lunch and rest. Dinner and an overnight.
Day 4: Visit Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Fund Campus
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before visiting the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Fund Campus, where you will participate in the organization’s effort to protect them and their habitats.
You will interact with researchers and conservationists who dedicate their lives to study. Also, participate in educational activities and witness firsthand the positive impact of conservation initiatives. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Travel back to Kigali
You will drive back to Kigali after your morning breakfast. Along the way, expect to have a chance to stop at local villages and interact with them. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Fly from Kigali to Serengeti National Park
On this day, you will fly from Kigali to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. You will be picked up by the driver guide to transfer you to the park and check into your Camp. Serengeti National Park is renowned as world’s prime wildlife safari destination. Enjoy a picnic lunch.
In the evening, enjoy a sundowner while witnessing a beautiful African sunset, followed by a gourmet. Have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 6 & 7: Game Exploration in the park
Enjoy breakfast before embarking to explore the wonders of the world’s famous Serengeti game Park for the next two days. You will be able to enjoy scenic landscapes and abundant wildlife await. During your full-day game drive, you will be escorted by the experienced guides and embark on exhilarating game drives while learning about the park’s diverse flora and fauna.
You will also witness the Great Migration event, where you will witness millions of herbivores traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing pastures. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Arusha /Airport
On your last day of the safari, enjoy breakfast before heading on the morning game drive. Later, you will transfer back to Arusha with unforgettable memories. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off either at your hotel or the airport for your flight.
