Top Five Favorite Tented Camps in Tanzania

Top Five Favorite Tented Camps in Tanzania: Tanzania is not only the best safari destination because of the great wildebeest migration in Serengeti national park, beautiful beaches in Zanzibar Island, Big five animals in Ngorongoro crater and mount Kilimanjaro in Kilimanjaro national park but also due to the availability of various lodging options like luxury lodges and tented camps that are dispersed throughout the country’s national parks and can accommodate visitors of all financial abilities. We will discuss our top five tented camps that we think everyone should choose and reserve for their stay during their Tanzania safari tour based on our expertise working at several top Tanzania attractions, particularly those in the northern safari circuit.

Which Tanzanian tented camps are the best for a safari tour? Choosing the best tented camp out of all the possibilities available to you on your Tanzania safari tour is essential if you want to have the best possible safari experience. The better the tented camp you select, the better the safari experience you will have, and vice versa. The top 5 tented camps to reserve and stay in while on your Tanzania safari excursion are listed below:

  1. DUNIA CAMP—IN THE CENTRAL SERENGETI

This is one of our favorite tented camp in Tanzania. Its atmosphere and décor are lovely, and the designers paid attention to every last detail. With its bookcases, board games, and high-quality finishes, it seems both fashionable and cozy. However, Dunia Camp is more than simply a lovely exterior. It is a place of empowerment that is solely run and managed by women. They encourage kids from the local hamlet to experience and connect with nature during the off-peak season. What more could you want than luxury and consciousness together?

  1. KICHUGUU CAMP—IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Kichuguu, which is Swahili for “termite mounts,” is a brand-new, ultra-stylish, and contemporary semi-permanent tented camp. We must admit that we have a decent sense of design, and Kichuguu has a really appealing appearance. Only 11 tents are present, and they are all spaced far enough apart to ensure maximum seclusion. The staff are quite friendly, and you will feel very at home staying there. It is only 45 minutes away from Tarangire Gate and a short distance from the airfield. Overall, a fantastic tent camp.

  1. PAKULALA SAFARI CAMP, OVERLOOKING THE NGORONGORO CRATER

The views from Pakulala are extremely breathtaking. The camp towers over the well-known Ngorongoro Crater, and you can see into the crater from the mess tent and campfire area. We adore the tiny, friendly atmosphere of the camp. You will appreciate the expertly cooked dinner, the hot water bottle in bed (the Ngorongoro region may get chilly), and the tastefully decorated tents. It is both cozy and opulent at the same time.

  1. KATI-KATI TENTED CAMP—IN THE CENTRAL SERENGETI

One of our visitors’ favorite mobile camps in the Serengeti is called Kati-Kati. And we understand why! The tents might be plain, with a straightforward bed and little ornamentation but it is precisely this simplicity that gives the nighttime scene such a beautiful feel. You will always remember sitting around the campfire, with only a few lanterns providing additional light, and listening to the sounds of nature. What distinguishes Kati-Kati and makes it a special experience is its breathtaking location and love of the wilderness. Undoubtedly, one of our favorite tented camps in Tanzania is here.

  1. KANANGA SPECIAL CAMP—IN THE CENTRAL SERENGETI

When we first arrived at Kananga Special Camp, we was struck by how different it was from other camps in that it was on an open field rather than inside a forest and covered by bushes. You therefore enjoy unobstructed views everywhere you turn. Although the entire setup is quite open and airy, they were still able to place some lovely paintings on the camp’s few walls. The employees and management are very cordial and welcoming. You will had a great time while your here.
