5 days Masai Mara and Bwindi safari
The 5 days Masai Mara and Bwindi safari will start in Nairobi and from the city of Kenya, you will be driven to the south western part of Kenya where you will explore the savannah plains of Masai Mara national reserve.
You will engage in morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara reserve as you look out for wildlife species such as the big 5 like lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and also elephants as well as other wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, waterbucks, antelopes, hippos and many others.
After your safari experience in Masai Mara, you will take a flight to Entebbe international airport and from Entebbe international airport you will have another flight to Bwindi national park which is the home to the gorillas in Uganda. You will engage in a gorilla trek during your 5 days safari as you enjoy the best of Kenya and Uganda.
Day 1; pick up in Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport and welcome you for your safari. You will also have a short briefing ahead of your drive to Masai Mara national reserve. You will have a stop in Narok town where you will see local arts and crafts on your way to the reserve.
You will also have lunch and later engage in an evening game drive around Masai Mara reserve as you look out for wildlife species such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffalos, lions, antelopes, leopards, cheetahs and many others. After your game drive, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Mara Serena lodge.
Day 2; full day in Masai Mara
After having an early breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you around the savannah plains of Masai Mara national reserve as you look out for wildlife species during the morning game drive. You will also have a lunch break in the wild ahead of another game drive in the reserve.
You will look out for wildlife species like lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras, buffalos and many others. after your full day of exploring the wilderness and searching for different wildlife species your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena lodge.
Day 3; flight to Entebbe airport and flight to Bwindi national park
Your guide will drive you to the airstrip for your flight to Entebbe airport after your breakfast and checking out of your lodge. You will take another flight to Bwindi national park that same day and on arrival at Kihihi airstrip, your guide will be waiting to drive you to your lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Mahogany springs lodge.
Day 4; gorilla trekking
After an early breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing for your gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. After briefing, you will continue into the forest in groups of 8 as you look out for the gorillas in their natural habitat.
You will follow different trails in Bwindi forest national park as you search for the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas before trekking back to the briefing point where your guide will meet you and drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Mahogany springs lodge.
Day 5; flight to Entebbe and departure
On the last day of your safari, your guide will drive you to Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Entebbe international airport which will bring your 5 days Masai Mara and Bwindi safari to an end.
