Abeid Amani Karume international airport is located on the southern part of Zanzibar and is the main airport of Zanzibar.

The airport was named after the first president of Zanzibar Abeid Amani Karume in 2010 and was previously referred to as Kisauni airport and was also known as Zanzibar international airport.

Abeid Amani Karume international airport is located about 5 kilometers from Stone town and the code for the airport is ZNZ. The airport is managed by Zanzibar Airports Authority and is owned by the government of Zanzibar.
